Privacy Policy

What information this site collects, why it is collected, who it is shared with and how long it is kept.

What this policy covers

This policy explains what information is collected when someone visits this website or places an order, why it is collected, who it is shared with and how long it is kept. It applies to this website and to the services sold through it.

Handling of personal information follows the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Where a visitor is located outside Australia, local requirements may also apply, and the stricter standard is followed.

Information that is collected

Provided directly

  • Contact details: name and email address supplied at checkout or when contacting support.
  • Order details: the public username, page URL or post link an order is placed against, plus the service and package selected.
  • Correspondence: the content of emails or messages sent to support.

Collected automatically

  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system and referring page.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, time on page and the path taken through the site.

Never collected

Social media passwords, two factor codes and account login credentials are never requested, never collected and never stored. No service on this site requires them. Any message claiming to need them is not from this business.

Full card numbers are also never held. Payments are processed by third party payment providers, and only a confirmation of the transaction is retained.

How information is used

  • To process, deliver and track orders.
  • To send order confirmations and delivery updates.
  • To answer support enquiries and process refill requests.
  • To detect fraudulent or abusive use of the service.
  • To understand which pages are useful and improve the site.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Personal information is not sold, rented or traded to anyone, for any purpose.

Who information is shared with

Information is shared only where it is necessary to run the service, and only to the extent needed.

  • Payment providers, to process transactions and verify payments.
  • Delivery partners, who receive the public username or post link required to fulfil the order, and nothing else.
  • Hosting and email providers, which store data as part of running the website and support inbox.
  • Analytics providers, which receive aggregated usage data.
  • Regulators or law enforcement, where disclosure is required by law.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored by the browser. This site uses essential cookies that keep the cart and checkout working, and analytics cookies that record how the site is used. Analytics cookies can be refused without affecting the ability to browse or order.

Most browsers allow cookies to be blocked or deleted through their settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent checkout from completing.

How long data is kept

Order records are retained for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes, which in Australia is generally five years. Support correspondence is kept while it remains useful for handling repeat enquiries. Analytics data is retained in aggregated form.

Data no longer needed for any of these purposes is deleted.

Security

The site runs over an encrypted connection, payment data is handled entirely by the payment provider, and access to order records is limited to those who need it to deliver the service. No system is completely secure, and no absolute guarantee is given, but the amount of personal information held is deliberately kept small for this reason.

Individual rights

Anyone whose information is held here may:

  • Request a copy of the personal information held about them.
  • Ask for inaccurate information to be corrected.
  • Request deletion, subject to records that must be kept for legal reasons.
  • Withdraw consent to marketing email at any time.
  • Complain about how their information has been handled.

Requests go to admin@twicsy.shop and are answered within 30 days. A complaint that cannot be resolved directly may be taken to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Children

These services are not sold to anyone under 18. Information is not knowingly collected from children. Where it becomes clear that an account was created by a minor, the associated data is deleted.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the service changes or as legal requirements change. The date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision, and continued use of the site after a change indicates acceptance of the updated version.

Contact

Privacy questions and requests can be sent to admin@twicsy.shop or raised by phone on +92 308 4469862.
